Hi – A Poem

When I heard from you today,

I didn’t know what to say,

I wish you hadn’t said hi,

And that we had left it at goodbye.

Somethings are too hard to fix,

Betrayed emotions you just can’t unpick,

I wish you hadn’t said hi,

We should have left it at goodbye.

I’m not sorry that we were friends,

But everything has an end,

I’m not sorry that we moved on,

Now we have our own songs.

I said I forgive you and this is true,

But this doesn’t mean I can talk to you.

I said I’m sorry about my lies,

I so wish you hadn’t said hi.

Somethings are painful,

And somethings are quick,

But I think your betrayal will always stick.
